Supermarket chain Spar has recalled a vegetarian pasta because it may incorrectly contain peanuts. As is known, this can be problematic for allergy sufferers.
During a routine quality control, contamination with the peanut allergen was found in the “Spar Veggie Girasoli Spinach-Cashew 250g” with an expiry date of June 3, 2024, Spar Austria said in a statement on Wednesday.
As a precaution, all “Spar Veggie Girasoli Spinach-Cashew 250g” with the best before date from April 28, 2024 to June 10, 2024 are being recalled.
Returns possible without receipt
Customers are not allowed to consume the products and return them to the nearest Spar, Eurospar or Interspar store or Maximarkt. The purchase amount will be refunded even without a receipt. All other Spar Veggie Girasoli products or pasta from other brands remain unaffected.
