A traffic accident took place in the Gneis district of Salzburg on Thursday morning, in which a 54-year-old woman from Salzburg was injured. The woman was standing next to her parked car in a public underground parking garage when a 90-year-old from Salzburg drove into the garage.
By emergency helicopter to the hospital
According to him, his foot slipped off the pedal while braking. This caused his vehicle to roll down the driveway without braking and hit the parked car, trapping the woman between the two vehicles. Only a support pillar stopped the car. The injured person was taken to hospital by emergency helicopter.
Although the man’s breath test was negative, a traffic background investigation is underway to clarify the exact cause of the accident and take any further action.
