Was in hiding for a long time – German ex-Hells Angels boss murdered in Iran

Date:

The state news agency Tasnim confirms the death of the former head of the Mönchengladbach “Hells Angels” Ramin Y. He was wanted as the suspected main responsible for an attack in Bochum.

Ramin Y., who was wanted internationally, was apparently murdered in Iran under mysterious circumstances. According to information from the FAZ, the German security authorities have received corresponding reports from international news sources.

The agency contradicted statements by Iranian exiled journalists that Israeli intelligence was responsible for his killing. Instead, he died due to a personal conflict.

Rocker war on the Lower Rhine
Y. had been known to the police and the judiciary for years because of other criminal activities. Y., born in Mönchengladbach, was initially active with the Bandidos, but moved to the Hells Angels with several dozen club members at the end of 2012, which led to a brutal rocker war on the Lower Rhine.

Mastermind of the Bochum attack
Ramin Y. was suspected of masterminding an attack in Bochum in mid-November 2022. In December 2023, the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf sentenced the German-Iranian Babak J. to two years and nine months in prison for his involvement in this attack.

Babak J. spent seven weeks in Iran in the summer of 2022 and repeatedly met Ramin Y. there. Finally, Y. allegedly asked him for “a favor in Germany”, which led to his involvement in the attack.

Body dismembered
A particularly gruesome crime occurred in 2014 when Hells Angels rocker Kai M. was shot and his body dismembered. Ramin Y. was suspected of involvement in the murder of Kai M. To avoid prosecution, he fled to Iran and has been wanted internationally ever since.
