The police were warned twice about firearms on Saturday. In the first case, a man pointed his gun at several people because he felt disturbed by the noise of the group.
A man called the police in Vienna-Penzing on Saturday afternoon because he saw a man who had pointed a gun several times at a group of people from his balcony. Police were able to quickly locate the 56-year-old and temporarily arrest him. He was legally in possession of several weapons and ammunition. These and a weapons law document were also seized.
Felt disturbed by noise
During interrogation, the man partially confessed and stated that he felt disturbed by the noise of the group. He was reported in general on behalf of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Teenager shoots from balcony
The next incident took place around 7:30 PM: a teenager allegedly shot objects with a weapon from his balcony. Police found a 17-year-old boy in the apartment. A temporary weapons ban was issued against him.
Several airsoft weapons, two swords and pepper spray were seized. According to his own initial statements, the teenager shot because a friend of his shot at him from the ground.
