Last Saturday, the Salzburg Animal Protection Service received an emergency call from a desperate cat owner. However, it was the woman who needed saving, not her cat.
When the animal shelter arrived, the animal’s owner had barricaded herself in a room to protect herself from her aggressive male cat. He had previously inflicted deep bite and scratch wounds on her.
Mistress in the hospital
The animal rescue team managed to scare the cat on the balcony and free the woman from her predicament. The owner was taken to hospital, but the cat was taken to the vet.
It is not known what causes the pet’s aggressive behavior. It still remains at the vet. The owner will have to decide for himself whether to let the cat into the house.
