19-year-old injured – driver shot motorcyclist while turning left

A serious accident occurred while turning left in Sierning (Upper Austria), when a driver unintentionally ‘shot’ a young motorcyclist on Tuesday. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 19-year-old from Nöstlbach was riding his motorcycle on the Schiedlberger Landesstraße from Sierning towards Schiedlberg on Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. At the same time, a 25-year-old from Sierning drove his car on Feldstrasse towards Schiedlberger Landesstrasse, where he wanted to turn left towards the center.
The driver is said to have stopped
According to his own statements, he stopped his vehicle on the dirt road next to it. When the path ahead appeared clear, he turned left, resulting in a collision with the motorcyclist coming from the left. The 19-year-old fell and was seriously injured. After receiving emergency medical care, he was admitted to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen clinic in Steyr.
