A tragic accident took place early on Saturday evening in the municipality of Schoppernau in the Bregenzerwald. A 70-year-old motorcyclist from Dornbirn arrived late without any outside help.
After a tour through the Arlberg area, the motorcyclist from Schröcken was coming through the valley towards Schoppernau when, for reasons not yet explained, he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle on the Hinterhopreben plot and had a serious accident.
A group of motorcyclists following behind immediately started resuscitation measures, which were then continued by the emergency doctor who quickly arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, the attempts were unsuccessful and the man died on the spot from his serious injuries.
