His car was completely destroyed on the A1 on Friday morning after crashing into the guardrail and a concrete barrier. But there was no trace of the car owner (39). The man was found two days later and he wants nothing to do with the accident.
The man from Mühlviertel, who allegedly caused an accident on the Westautobahn (A1) on Friday morning and could no longer be found, reappeared after two days. The man from the Freistadt district arrived home and relatives subsequently reported to the authorities, reports ORF Upper Austria.
The car was empty
The traffic accident took place near the Voralpenkreuz in the direction of Salzburg. According to police, his car overtook a truck on the right at a very high speed, hit the guardrail and concrete barrier several times and came to a stop with serious damage. When the first patrol arrived at the scene of the accident, he was no longer there.
Search initially failed
Even a search with drones and dogs – the driver was reportedly injured – could not track him down. He has been missing ever since. During initial questioning, he denied having anything to do with the accident, police said.
