Difficult situation at a waste processing company in Inzing: a truck trailer carrying hazardous waste suddenly caught fire and several fire brigades arrived.
On Thursday around 11.28 am, a vehicle fire occurred at the waste processing company in Inzing during the loading of a semi-trailer with production waste containing hazardous substances.
The staff tried to extinguish the fire
Company employees tried to extinguish the fire themselves, but were unsuccessful. The fire brigade was alerted via an automatic fire alarm system and was then able to extinguish the fire. The fire brigades of Inzing and Zirl were on duty with a total of six vehicles and 28 members, as well as the Red Cross with two vehicles.
Total damage to the trailer
No one was injured in the incident. The semi-trailer was a total loss and the semi-trailer was slightly damaged. The amount of material damage caused amounts to a high five-digit euro amount.
