There was another bloody knife attack in Vienna on Tuesday morning. A 22-year-old attacked a 47-year-old with a knife in Donaustadt. He was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
It is still completely unclear why the attack took place on the street around 10:40 am. According to police, there was a heated argument between the two. Attentive witnesses immediately alerted the police. No further information is known about the background.

The 47-year-old was seriously injured in the upper leg during the attack. A rescue helicopter from Vienna took him to hospital as quickly as possible. The 22-year-old also suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was temporarily arrested and the knife was confiscated. The interrogations of the two men are ongoing. Further investigations are underway.
