Dramatic scenes took place at a construction site in Tyrol’s Zillertal on Tuesday. Two workers were seriously injured when they tried to fill a four-meter-high column with concrete.
The two Portuguese (42 and 58) were pouring concrete at a construction site in Aschau in the Zillertal. To do this, they stood at a height of about four meters to pour concrete into a still hollow column.
Impact on the concrete floor
The accident happened: the hollow body began to wobble and fall over. He tore the formwork element and the ladders with the two workers on them. The men hit the concrete floor and suffered serious injuries. After initial care, they were flown to Schwaz hospital.
