A 67-year-old from the Völkermarkt district in Carinthia got behind the wheel heavily drunk. In St. Kanzian he collided with an oncoming car.
The drunk man was driving his car on St. Kanzianer Landesstraße (L116) on Tuesday evening around 7 p.m. When he suddenly drove into oncoming traffic, he collided head-on with the car of a 51-year-old woman, who suffered unspecified injuries in the accident.
“The woman had to be taken to the Klagenfurt clinic by the rescue team. The 67-year-old was unharmed,” the police reported to Völkermarkt. Because an alcohol test showed that he was heavily drunk, his driver’s license was confiscated.
