A witness saw two male teenagers in Braunau cycling several times towards the nearby railway track around lunchtime on Friday. In the evening he found ten bicycles hidden in bushes near the track. The owners are now being sought.
The witness had observed the two young people several times as they rode their bicycles from Laabstrasse to the railway line. When he looked around the area that evening, he found ten bicycles that had clearly been hidden in the bushes.
In addition to the suspected thieves, the police are also looking for the rightful owners of the bicycles as part of the investigation.

The bicycles found of different sizes, brands and ages are:
- a bicycle from the Chiemsee brand, black
- a bicycle from the KTM brand, frame color pink/purple
- a Staiger bicycle, frame color dark blue
- a KTM (IKEA) bicycle, frame color yellow/blue
- a bicycle from the Nishiki brand, frame color silver/pink/black
- a bicycle from the Street Comfort brand, frame color blue/silver
- a bicycle from the KTM brand, frame color black/white
- a bicycle from the Nakita brand, white/grey
- a Miles bicycle, purple/yellow
- a bicycle with an unknown brand, brown leather seat and brown handles, frame color black
Police ask possible owners to contact the Braunau police station on 059133/4200-100.
