The Volkswagen plant in Navarra will stop production on Monday the 13th due to a lack of steering columns for the five days of the week, maintaining the same situation in this regard as the rest of the previous weeks.
As reported by the union UGT, for this day it would be “necessary to open the broadcasting regulations (ERTE)”, although the management has proposed to move the industrial day listed in the general calendar on December 7 to this day, in order to ” opening the ERTE as far as possible”.
This is an approach for which the UGT “has been favorable as long as the Industrial Day days indicated in July and August are at rest.”
In this latter regard, management understands, as they have indicated from the union, that “those days of industrial workday associated with holidays would not be affected”. The proposal was “in the air” waiting to be reviewed “in depth”.
