Luck and his quick reaction saved a truck driver from the worst in a crash on the Arlberg. The 60 meter fall ended on an airy note.
The local resident (21) drove a truck backwards along a forest path in St. Anton am Arlberg on Tuesday around 10 a.m. to deliver something. He went too far to the right, causing him to fall about 200 feet down a steep embankment and causing the vehicle to roll over several times.
Jumping out of the driver’s cab was successful
The 21-year-old was able to push himself out of the driver’s cab with his foot and jump out before coming to a stop on the steep slope next to the truck.
Even returned to the forest path
The driver was able to get back onto the forest path independently and suffered only a few scratches all over his body. He then sought medical help himself. There was significant damage to the truck.
