Brutal scenes took place on Thursday in a community center in Innsbruck. A Syrian and a Somali (both 25 years old) had gotten into each other’s hair and attacked each other with violent thrusts. After the Syrian was treated in hospital, he returned to the quarters and is said to have attempted to attack his sleeping opponent with a knife.
A heated argument had broken out between the two criminals early in the morning. The Syrian and Somali are said to have punched each other in the face.
Knife pulled after treatment
The injured Syrian was then treated in an outpatient setting at the hospital. “When he returned to the property afterwards, he allegedly tried to attack the Somali man who was sleeping in his room with a knife,” police said.
However, the Somali was able to repel the attack, but was injured by a blow to the face. “A roommate of the Syrian then apparently came to the Somali’s aid, in which he, a 24-year-old Somali, and the Syrian fell to the ground and the 24-year-old was injured in the back,” the investigators continued.
Display and entry ban
The alleged attacker has been arrested by the alerted police. A knife has been seized. After completing the surveys, the 25-year-old will generally be reported. A restraining order was also issued against him.
