A 32-year-old Viennese woman was allegedly attacked with a curtain rod by her neighbor (58) on Thursday evening. The two had gotten into an argument earlier. When the younger opened the door to talk, the older one allegedly injured her with a pole and a punch.
It all happened on Thursday evening around 8:45 p.m. in a residential building in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus: the two residents got into an argument and the 32-year-old then allegedly tried to talk to her neighbor. But it didn’t come to that…
The neighbor missed a blow
When the 32-year-old opened her door, the 58-year-old was already standing in front of her, armed with a curtain rod, and allegedly attacked her with it and punched her. The older woman then fled. The victim immediately called the police emergency number.
Arrested after being hit in the chest
“The suspect has been found by the emergency services,” reports police spokeswoman Barbara Gass. When the officers wanted to clarify the matter, a policewoman was also beaten by the 58-year-old. Fortunately this was prevented, but then the attacker hit the officer in the chest: arrest!
Alcohol test showed a total of 2.1 per mille
The woman’s curtain rod was removed and an alcohol test was also carried out. The suspected perpetrator turned out to have a blood alcohol level of 2.1 per mille. She is now in police custody. The 32-year-old was slightly injured in the attack, but the officer was unharmed.
