The couple was busy making hay on a field in Weer around 2.40 pm. The Heukreisler was attached to the tractor at the time. When the farmer tried to unfold the device with the engine running, the gyroscope started to move for reasons not yet elucidated, caught the man and pulled him inside. He was badly injured next to the left rear tire.
taken to different hospitals
His partner rushed to help the injured man. However, she was also grabbed by the Kreisler’s right arm and also seriously injured. Witnesses raised the alarm at the emergency center. While the helicopter flew the man to the Innsbruck clinic, the 37-year-old was taken to Schwaz hospital.
The tractor and Kreisler have been seized by order of the public prosecutor. An expert will inspect the machines and determine how the accident could have happened.
