Nasty surprise on Tuesday afternoon in Södingberg (Styria): completely unexpectedly, a falling tree collided with a cyclist on the L 315. He injured his hand and had to be taken to hospital. It is unclear why this happened.
A cyclist was riding on the L 315 Stübinggraben early on Tuesday afternoon when, quite unexpectedly, a crack appeared next to him and a short time later he fell. He was hit by a falling tree!
The cyclist suffered a hand injury
At exactly 12:58 p.m., the Södingberg volunteer fire brigade was alerted – only on site did it become clear that the tree had fallen on a cyclist. The rescue team was immediately called because the man had injured his hand. “He was taken to the nearest hospital,” the fire brigade said. It is still unclear why the tree fell.
