A group got into a fight with a 39-year-old Turk in an apartment in Villach on Monday evening – with a bloody outcome!
At around 9:00 p.m., a conflict broke out in his apartment in Villach between the group – two male Austrians (37 and 29) and a female Austrian (27) – and the subsequent stabbing. The reason for this is still unknown.
Multiple stab wounds
However, the trio quickly left the scene: “The three then left the location, but were followed by the Turkish citizen,” according to the state police headquarters. The 39-year-old stabbed his victim (37) several times on Italiener Strasse, causing life-threatening injuries and initially fleeing. On Tuesday morning, the regional hospital in Villach was able to give the signal: the man had been stabilized and his life was no longer in danger!
The suspect went to the police himself
Apparently he changed his mind then, because he came to the police station himself: “The suspect, a 39-year-old Turkish citizen, fled for the time being and then came to a police station in Villach to file a report. “He was temporarily arrested on urgent suspicion,” the officials said.
As the ‘Krone’ learned, there is supposedly a long history between the group and the alleged perpetrator. So far, no one has been interviewed; the investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department into attempted murder is in full swing.
