After the storm with heavy rain in Tyrol on Thursday evening, the roads affected by the mudslides were partially reopened on Saturday morning. For example, the Reschenstrasse (B180) between Pfunds and Ried in the Oberinntal was reopened to traffic. Oberinntalstraße (L65) and Villgratentalstraße remained closed.
As reported, the Oberinntalstraße was flooded in the area between the Pfunds and Tösens junction and was impassable. The communities of Pfunds, Spiss and Nauders and the Reschen Pass remained inaccessible from the Inn Valley for the time being. Even on Saturday morning, bypassing the barriers was only possible over a large area via South Tyrol or Switzerland.
The Villgratentalstraße (L273) was initially closed in both directions, making the municipalities of Binnen- and Ausservillgraten temporarily inaccessible. The reason was a mudslide at the entrance to the valley. The clean-up work continued.
The Hahntennjochstrasse between Imst and the Hahntennjoch was also closed due to flooding. However, the ban was lifted again on Friday morning.
