According to police reports, 17 police officers and seven participants were injured while dispersing a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Berlin. The demonstration escalated after prohibitive, anti-Semitic and offensive slogans were chanted.
The demonstration began in the afternoon in the southwestern district of Steglitz and moved towards Innsbrucker Platz. According to the police, more than 600 people were present in the afternoon.
A seriously injured
As the Berlin Fire Department told the German Press Agency, there was one seriously injured person. According to the fire department, several injured people were taken to hospitals.

The injured all reported to the emergency services after the demonstration. They mostly had problems with their blood circulation and minor injuries. According to a spokesman for the fire department, no irritating gas was sprayed.
Weekly demonstrations
In addition to numerous Palestinian flags, people at the demonstration held up signs reading “Free Palestine from Israeli occupation.” The demonstration was registered under the title “Stop the genocide in Gaza.”
