A serious rear-end collision occurred on the A3 South-East in Burgenland on Sunday afternoon. Several people, including a baby, were injured, some seriously.
In the accident between Hornstein and Müllendorf (Eisenstadt region) in the direction of Eisenstadt, three vehicles were involved. A woman and her baby were in a car. They were flown to the clinic in Donaustadt by the Christophorus 3 medical emergency helicopter.
The cause of the accident is still unclear
There were two adults in a second vehicle – the seriously injured woman was taken by ambulance to the Eisenstadt hospital. The slightly injured man was also taken by ambulance to this clinic. No one in the third car was injured, it was said. Information about the cause of the accident was not yet available.
