A large-scale search for a motorist who had apparently fled after an accident was called off without result in Tyrol on Sunday evening. Earlier, it was reported that the police had had an accident on Landecker Strasse.
At around 12:20, the Landeck police were called to a traffic accident on Landecker Strasse in Fließ (Landeck district). However, when we arrived at the scene of the accident, there was no trace of the injured driver. Only the car was still there.
An assistance dog patrol was even deployed
A search was immediately launched. Rescue operations, water rescue services, several fire departments and police patrols and guide dogs responded. “The search was temporarily suspended around 2:45 a.m.,” the director said. The driver was found during the course of Sunday. Police did not provide further details.
