A hot day and a very bad idea almost killed the young woman from Gmunden. Together with friends, she drank excessive amounts of alcohol in the area around the Gmunden Seebahnhof. It was said that there was about a liter of vodka in it, the police said in a press release.
Passerby saved girl
Around 5:00 PM she wanted to go swimming in the lake. However, she quickly became unconscious and was in danger of drowning. Two friends (both 15 years old) desperately tried to keep the girl upright.
Transport to hospital
A passerby who happened to be there rescued the 14-year-old and lifted her onto the catwalk. She was then admitted to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Gmunden.
