A 20-year-old man from Russia escaped his electronically monitored house arrest and fled by train from Innsbruck to Vienna. He was arrested by police in Meidling on Tuesday evening!
Before escaping by train, the young prisoner is said to have thrown his ankle monitor in a waste container near Innsbruck’s main station. Based on information gathered by investigators, the suspicion was confirmed that he was traveling by train to Vienna.

“Several emergency services were sent to Meidling train station,” police spokesman Mattias Schuster said. The 20-year-old was also caught there when he left the train. He was taken to a penitentiary.
