The French justice system is investigating a pastor in Alsace who allegedly photographed women up to their skirts.
The newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace reported that the pastor was caught by employees of a large supermarket in Colmar taking pictures of customers’ underwear.
The priest is also said to have taken photos in another supermarket in the Alsatian city, including of minors. He is accused of serious voyeurism.
As the church announced, it initiated an internal disciplinary procedure in parallel with the public prosecutor’s investigation. It also informed the parishes and mayors of the places where the pastor had been appointed.
