But someone was in a special hurry! On Saturday morning around 11:00, the 43-year-old German motorcyclist crashed into a police speed checkpoint on the Felbertauernstrasse (B108) near St. Johann im Walde.
80 km/h too fast
The speeding offender was driving at a speed of 180 km/h, only 100 is allowed. The cyclist was taken out of traffic. He had to surrender his driving license on the spot and the motorcycle was also temporarily confiscated.
According to a change in traffic regulations, since March 1, vehicles can be impounded and then even auctioned if they exceed the speed limit.
