Tesla CEO Elon Musk has denied giving Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov a Cybertruck. “Are you really so retarded that you think I gave a cybertruck to a Russian general?” he responded on the X platform.
The response was addressed to American author and journalist Seth Abramson. As reported, Kadyrov had previously bragged about a Tesla Cybertruck on his Telegram news channel. The ruler claimed that he had received the “Cyberbeast” from Musk. After a tour of the capital Grozny, the 47-year-old appeared in a video with bullet cartridges around his neck. The Cybertruck will soon be used in the war against Ukraine, he said.
Here you can see Kadyrov’s video.
Rich people continue to receive luxury goods
Like hundreds of members of the Russian power apparatus, Kadyrov is subject to Western sanctions. The video is therefore also a signal to the West that the rich and powerful in Russia continue to receive luxury goods that are not allowed into the country. The import is organized through intermediaries abroad. For example, the Chechen ruler has connections with the United Arab Emirates.
Kadyrov is known internationally for his serious human rights violations, murders of political opponents, torture of prisoners and kidnappings. He holds public office with family members and repeatedly and demonstratively breaks the law.
