A collision between two vehicles on Thursday afternoon in Prutz in the Tyrolean Oberland had far-reaching consequences. A total of seven people were injured, including an 83-year-old and a 91-year-old.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m., the 83-year-old Austrian woman turned her car from a highway onto the B 180 highway. A 91-year-old was in the car. For reasons that are still unclear, a collision occurred with the car of a 31-year-old. The driver tried in vain to get out of the way.
The impact sent the pensioners’ car flying across the road. It eventually crashed into a guardrail. The 31-year-old’s car also hit the guardrail.
The two pensioners were seriously injured as a result of the collision. The 31-year-old and four other occupants (17, 29, 36 and 39 years old) in his car were also injured. All involved had to be taken to Zams Hospital by ambulance. There was serious damage to the vehicles.
