“In our hearts you are always with us, we miss you!” With these words the family says goodbye to Wolfgang I. The 38-year-old from Oberneukirchen was seriously injured in an unusual and tragic accident on August 21. Wolfgang I. worked as a garbage man in Linz, fell on a bend of the footplate and hit his head so hard on the edge of the rock that he suffered serious traumatic brain damage.
Two days later, the man died from his serious injuries. What remains now is his family: his partner and his son. And besides the shock of his untimely death, there are also financial worries. The family therefore asks you to refrain from donating wreaths and flowers and instead ask for support with the funeral costs.
Colleagues organize fundraising
The colleagues of Wolfgang I. – he has been working as a column leader, trailer and replacement driver since 2019 – also want to help and have started a donation collection that will benefit the family of the deceased. In addition to the board of Linz AG doubling the amount collected, the company will cover the costs of the farewell and funeral service.
