A marten and a defective sleeve caused two power outages during the weekend. Hundreds of Vorarlberg households in the Montafon and in the Brandnertal were hit.

In the Montafon, a defective transformer led to a wide power outburst on Saturday evening. The four municipalities of Schruns, Bartholomäberg, Vandans and St. Anton in the Montafon were hit with a total of around 10,000 inhabitants. According to the police, traffic lights and street lighting were in addition to numerous houses and shops but also without electricity. It turned out that a defective sleeve was responsible for the incident.

Disappointment
In the four locations, the diet was suspended around 6 p.m., shortly after 10 p.m. The power outages led to two fire brigade operations and an obligation of the police, which became active due to a deception alarm.
