He Consumer Price Index (CPI) has fallen again in August and is in the 2.2% in the interannual ratethe lowest in 2024.
The descent is duelargely, to lower fuel prices and, to a lesser extent, food and non-alcoholic beverages. All are down compared to the same month in 2023.
In this way accumulate three consecutive months of moderationafter reaching 3.6% in May (3.4% in June, 2.8% in July and 2.2% in August).
The year-on-year rate of core inflation (excluding unprocessed food and energy products) also fell, in this case to 2.7%.
