Airstrike on convoy: Dead in new aid shipment incident in Gaza

After shots were fired at a UN humanitarian vehicle in the Gaza Strip, another incident has occurred involving an aid shipment. According to the Israeli army, several armed men seized control of a vehicle leading a convoy and were then attacked by Israeli soldiers.

Employees of a transport company that works with the responsible aid organization were killed.

According to the Israeli army, all members of the aid organization are doing well. The aid convoy reached its destination in the Rafah area.

According to the Guardian report, the army carried out an airstrike on the first vehicle in the convoy, killing several transport company employees who were in the car.

Israel under increasing pressure
According to the UN, soldiers in the Gaza Strip fired on a humanitarian vehicle of the World Food Programme (WFP) on Tuesday. No one was injured.

Israel explained the incident as a communication failure between Israeli forces, US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood said. Israel has announced an investigation. Aid workers have been killed several times since the Gaza war began nearly 11 months ago.
