Citizens in Wiener Neustadt have complained in the past about “unreliable mail delivery”. Now a letter even ended up in a metal grid.
The quality of mail delivery was a topic of discussion in Wiener Neustadt. On Wiener Straße and Kurze Gasse, citizens criticized overflowing mailboxes and the fact that a delivery person sometimes delivers mail for an entire building to a business premises. When asked, the postal headquarters in Vienna could not find any problems, but also promised “strict control over the quality of delivery”.
Letter stuck in grid
Now a letter for a customer has landed in that house instead of in the mailbox in a metal grille – is that considered correctly delivered? Obviously, it is not possible to determine whether a neighbor simply “replaced” a misaddressed letter or whether a delivery person was responsible for the oddity.
What is certain, however, is that after the ‘Krone’ report, many more complaints were received about letter delivery in Wiener Neustadt.
