One event followed another on Wednesday: the fire brigades Dietmannsdorf and St. Martin im Sulmtal (Deutschlandsberg district in Styria) had to be called up three times in a very short time. Four vehicles collided with each other, after which two cars collided. In the first accident, the towage service also damaged a car, which again led to the deployment of the fire brigade. Three people were injured.
The siren sounded for the first time around 4.30 pm: a rear-end collision involving four vehicles in the Graschach district of Sankt Martin im Sulmtal. Both fire brigades from Dietmannsdorf and St. Martin i. S. left and helped to care for the injured, rescue rescue vehicles and direct traffic on the B 74. The accident involved a total of 16 people, two of whom were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Shortly after: a two-car crash
On the way back, the sirens sounded again around 5:15 PM: two cars had collided with each other in the Dörfla district. As one of the cars was about to turn off the exit onto the B 74, it collided with a passing car. One person was injured.
Third order due to first accident
There is one last mission for the Dietmannsdorf fire brigade. Luckily it wasn’t an accident this time, it just had to be cleared of the road. In the first accident in Graschach, the towing service damaged the oil sump of one of the cars involved and soiled the bus stop. The B 74 had to be closed again.
