On Thursday afternoon, the police in Vienna-Penzing were alerted after a young person (14) threatened to harm herself in a shared youth apartment. When she arrived, she then attacked an officer.
A caretaker of a residential home alerted the police around 6:00 p.m. A 14-year-old had previously broken a glass in the bathroom and threatened to hurt herself. However, the girl became extremely aggressive when the police arrived.
Service weapon captured
She first started threatening the officers. A little later she attacked one of the officers and grabbed the service weapon. Fortunately, the officers managed to restrain the girl and take the gun away from her to prevent worse.
Police officer slightly injured
The police officer sustained minor injuries in the attack after being scratched by the girl during surgery. The 14-year-old was taken to hospital due to her aggressive behavior and the danger to herself and others.
