She has weight with the Greens: Olga Voglauer. The Carinthian politician is not only secretary general of the party, but also sits on the National Council. In an interview with the ‘Krone’ she talks about her own party program, election goals and why we need more clean energy.
“Crown”: Economically, times are not exactly rosy. Will a revival with a green party program work?
Olga Voglauer: If you look at the summers we have: hot days, droughts, severe weather disasters. Every year we are busy cleaning up after a storm, which also has consequences for our economy, our jobs and our private lives. The big key here is the energy transition. In Austria we have free sun, the wind blows over the mountains. The challenge will be to support our companies and people in this transformation.
