The climate stickers are heating up the population more and more. At the climate protest at the distribution group in Vienna-Favoriten on Wednesday morning, a climate activist was threatened with a knife. The perpetrator is currently unknown. A dangerous threat has been reported.

The Stanley knife incident happened on Wednesday before police arrived. This is the first weapon threat against the activists known to the police. Police say they are investigating several unknown persons. The activists themselves posted photos and videos of the action in favorites online. It shows, among other things, how people drag or hold the climate stickers on the trouser leg and collar of the zebra crossing with brute force.

Climate glue heavily criticized
The Vienna-Favoriten protest drew criticism on Wednesday because shortly after 8 a.m. an ambulance from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service was obstructed on its way to resuscitate an elderly man in the Lower Austrian border area. According to the Vienna Professional Rescue Service, an ÖAMTC emergency helicopter from Vienna and an ambulance from the Lower Austrian Red Cross were also alerted almost simultaneously. A short time later, the helicopter and the Red Cross arrived in Lower Austria. But the man died. However, the Red Cross emphasized to the APA on Thursday that there is no connection between the man’s death and the delay of the car in Vienna.

100 km/h on the highway
The “Last Generation” has been drawing attention to the climate crisis with traffic blockages for about a year now. The climate activists are demanding, among other things, a speed limit of 100 km/h on the autobahn and a ban on new oil and gas drilling from the federal government.
