In 2018, SPÖ traffic official Anton Lang opened a package of measures intended to remove the “poison fangs” from the accident-prone B320 between Liezen and Schladming. Now he presents the “Krone” with an interim project status and reveals what will happen next in Liezen and what road construction is planned for the main hospital.
Six months ago, the state transport department and the city of Liezen buried the bypass, which had been the subject of heated discussions for decades – a bang that was heard throughout the region. The traffic-jammed district town is to be relieved by an “existing solution” on Ennstalstrasse. Further measures on the B320 towards Schladming should ensure greater safety and the term “death route”, so unpopular with the residents of Ennstal, will soon be a thing of the past.
