Friday night there was a lot of excitement at Klagenfurt Central Station. Two men, initially unknown, robbed a supermarket and threatened the cashier with a gun. After an alarm investigation by the police, two main suspects were arrested.
Shortly after 8 p.m., a 20-year-old from Klagenfurt and his 21-year-old partner from the Völkermarkt entered the supermarket at Klagenfurt main station wearing masks. The two men threatened a cashier with a firearm and forced the transfer of money.
Witnesses filmed the act
Because the supermarket is located directly at the central station and there is a lot of movement, numerous witnesses have been able to observe the crime. An eyewitness even managed to film the crime.
Manhunt was successful
The testimonies of the witnesses immediately made possible a large-scale search by the police. The two men were caught a short time later. But there is no trace of the gun or the loot. One of the two men confessed during an initial interrogation, the second man denies having been involved in the robbery.
The police investigation is still ongoing.
