Due to heavy rainfall and associated flooding, there are currently significant restrictions on the Vienna metro network. Metro lines U4, U6 and U3 are particularly affected.
Die U4 currently only runs between the stations Heiligenstadt and Karlsplatz. The section between Karlsplatz and Hütteldorf is closed due to flooding.
A replacement bus service is available between Hütteldorf and Karlsplatz. Lines U3, 10, 60, 62, 57A and 59A are available as an alternative.
That too U6 is severely affected. Operations between Meidling and Westbahnhof stations have been suspended and further travel is not possible in this area.
Alternatively, line 62 runs from Meidling via Margaretengurtel to Burggasse, Stadthalle and back. Also use the other metro lines and lines 6, 18 and 59A.
In addition, this is also the case U3 affected by the disruptions. It currently only runs between Ottakring and Rochusgasse. The eastern part of the route is closed due to flooding. Passengers are requested to transfer to alternative routes 18, 71 and 74A to continue their journey.
Also disruptions on trams
Due to storm damage at Dresdner Straße 55, line 2 is diverted via lines 5 and 31 towards Friedrich-Engels-Platz between Am Tabor and Höchstädtplatz. On line 37 there are different intervals.
The duration of the disruptions cannot be predicted at this time.
