After a chocolate egg was stolen on vacation, a Swiss boy was overcome with remorse. The owner of the store in San Marino is stunned.
“After what we’ve been through in recent years, nothing surprises me anymore, but today I changed my mind,” says Danilo Chiaruzzi. A few days ago, the owner of a shop in the small state of San Marino on the Italian peninsula received a postcard from a boy from Switzerland.
Entrepreneur overwhelmed by gesture
In it, 12-year-old Benjamin apologizes in his own handwriting for stealing a chocolate egg from the grocery store while on a vacation trip with his family: “I’m very sorry and I know this is wrong.” He wanted to make peace with Chiaruzzi and I apologize. The boy and his father closed ten euros with the card.
Entrepreneur Danilo Chiaruzzi is blown away by the gesture: “I was amazed – and many children who steal chips, sweets and other small things from me every day as a test of courage or as a joke should read it!” He wants to answer and Benjamin to visit San Marino again invite you to shake his hand in person.
Many users on the Internet are also touched by this “nice gesture”. They also praise the boy’s parents for teaching their son this kind of repentance.
