At around 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, police officers were called to a brawl in the Meppen district, the Osnabrück Public Prosecutor’s Office announced on Sunday. Two officers then chased the 21-year-old who was named as a suspect.
However, a police officer met the man alone in the station area. A scuffle broke out, the 21-year-old put the officer in a headlock and choked him until he lost consciousness. Only when another police officer came to help did the man let go and run away. After massive resistance, other officers were finally able to arrest him.

But it wasn’t over yet! At the station he attacked the officers again, who reportedly managed to restrain him only with enormous effort. An investigating judge therefore issued an arrest warrant for the 21-year-old on Saturday for attempted murder and other crimes.
