Movie-worthy scenes unfolded on Wednesday during a car chase in Los Angeles. The suspect in the passenger seat of the stolen car probably saw it that way too. He filmed the action by leaning far out the window.
The carjacking was reported in the Long Beach area at a gas station in Lynwood. Police began chasing the suspected armed car thieves.
Reporter: “Absolutely crazy”
Even though the escapees were traveling at 100 mph, the passenger leaned far out the window to take photos of the police racing behind him. The television reporter from the helicopter who filmed the chase described the behavior as “absolutely insane.”
When a tire burst, the duo was eventually forced to abandon the stolen car and continue fleeing on foot. The chase eventually continued along the side of the highway before police could catch up and arrest the two.
