According to police, the incident happened at 9:30 p.m. in a public park near Raxstrasse in Vienna-Favoriten. The 26-year-old suffered serious injuries to his thigh, arm and buttocks. The man was immediately taken to a hospital by the Vienna rescue service. His life is no longer in danger.
The alarmed officers managed to obtain several shell casings on the spot and locate the first witnesses who will be questioned on Tuesday afternoon.
