After two threats in Graz, this time it is the turn of the district town of Leoben in Upper Styria: after a bomb threat, the train station was completely closed around noon. However, no explosive has been found to date.
The terrifying series of bomb threats in Austria is apparently entering the next round: “We received a threatening email late on Sunday morning,” the state police headquarters confirmed to the “Krone”.
Large-scale barrier
As a result, the train station in Leoben was cordoned off over a large area and train traffic is currently suspended. However, explosives experts have not yet found any suspicious objects. The board therefore assumes that the ban can be lifted again around 4 p.m.
Three schools evacuated
Last Tuesday there was another major alarm in Graz. Three schools with hundreds of students were evacuated after a bomb threat. But no explosives were found here either, just like two weeks ago at Graz’s main station.
