Jasmin Lederer: – “Hate and division will get us nowhere”

Date:

Vorarlberg is the “land of volunteer work”. In his new series, author Robert Schneider highlights people who are committed to helping others. He recently met Jasmin Lederer.

Jasmin Lederer, a communications scientist from Höchst, recognized very early on that coexistence in villages has changed in recent decades. Long before Corona, there was already a trend towards isolation, she says in an interview. The rise of social media has reinforced this. People gathered in front of the church after the service and chatted with each other. That’s long gone. People no longer stand together, they no longer sing together, and gatherings of people have generally become somehow suspicious. Everyone is drifting away in their bubble.
