The young men, all aged between 16 and 20, were due to appear before the Salzburg Regional Court on Friday. The youth gang – all suspects have a migrant background – is said to have intercepted and subsequently attacked four men from Germany in Bischofshofen on June 9.
Prosecutors say they beat their victims and stole three wallets and cash. Explosive: Two of the defendants were also present at the brawl in Bischofshofen, in which one victim suffered serious head injuries – the “Krone” reported.
The defendants received suspended sentences for attempted grievous bodily harm and, in one case, for theft. The punishment: between two and six months. Additional sentences were imposed in the case of the two young men who had already been convicted for the brawl in Bischofshofen.
Some rulings are already legally binding.
