Dramatic apartment fire in Linz: The woman was able to escape via the stairwell, but her dog had no chance of survival.
A fire broke out in a stove in the kitchen of a second-floor apartment. When the fire brigade arrived, they found a woman in the stairwell who was coughing violently. She stated that there was another dog in the apartment. No other people were in danger.
Extinguished with a nozzle
The fire was extinguished by a respiratory protection team using a nozzle, and the other apartment was searched by a rescue team. The crew discovered the dog in the living room, took him outside and began resuscitation efforts. Unfortunately these were unsuccessful, the dog had already died.
